Looking through some of my domain registration dates I saw that wheelchair-ramps.co.uk was 1st registered in June 2001.

Back then I was working in the building industry, saw the new regulations regarding disabled access and realised nobody was really paying much attention to it.

I looked in to it more, read that the DDA (Disability Discrimination Act) was being updated not long in the future, so decided to build a website for wheelchair ramps.

Initially it was just a bit of an experiment until the phone started ringing with people wanting more information and wanting to know where they could buy ramps from.

This lead me to find a ramp supplier, start the business and start selling wheelchair ramps.

Not long after I gave up full time work to spend more time on the ramps business and added more portable wheelchair ramps to the site and eventually added a section about Modular Wheelchair Ramps
